We made a trip to Las Vegas to be with my family for Thanksgiving. We have been really busy so far. Here are some of the things that we have been doing....
I took the kids to my sister's classroom on the weekend. She teaches 2nd grade. The kids had a fun time playing there. I also went and helped out today in her class. It was fun to get to work with some of the kids and grade papers. I really give teachers a lot of credit for all of the time that they put in for the children.
My moms neighbor has a ton of horses so we took the kids over today to ride them. Marlee is always talking about "Sandy's farm." This is Marlee's favorite mini horse. It has one eye because it was hit by a car with it's mother. The mother wasn't as fortunate. Marlee has been visiting and feeding this horse for a year or two now. The first time when she saw that it was missing an eye, my mom told her that he lost it. Marlee started looking on the ground and asked, "Where did he lost it, grandma?"
Here is Flash petting the horse before they saddled it up to ride. He kept saying, "He's to heavy" as he was petting him.

This is another minature horse that she had. His name was Big Shot. Flash said that this was his horse. This is Sandy's grandson giving Flash a ride around the arena. They loved being pulled on the little buggy!
Here is Marlee getting her turn on the horse. Sandy started running the horse. Marlee only wanted to go fast for a few seconds and then wanted to slow back down.
Marlee's turn on the buggy. She loved going fast on him. I love his little feather hat. I think that it was made out of a feather duster. Too funny!
Grandma and Grandpa took the kiddos to church on Sunday too.
A family picture in my parents front yard. We couldn't get everyone to look at the camera at the same time. It was super sunny too so we are all squinting.

We came to Vegas early because my brother was in the endurocross at the Orleans Arena. There were huge tires, boulders, water, logs and lots of other stuff that they had to ride through on dirtbikes. Here is a picture of part of the track. It looked very difficult! People were crashing like crazy. It's very technical. (If you click the picture you can see how crazy the course was) He had to qualify to get there. There were a bunch of pro riders there too. He didn't do to well in the first race but did much better in the second race which was the veterans (35 and older) class. He took 4th in the nation for that. I was proud to have my big bro out there. It was so much fun to watch. We really got into all the races. On the day of the event we took the kids down to the arena so that they could watch some of the racers try to qualify for that nights event. They had a blast! Glad that we took them down in the day because they didn't go to the main event with us that night.

How fun! You look so pretty in your family picture. I edited the photo on my blog with Picasa. It is a free download online. I love this program. If you try it and have any questions just call me and I'll help. Once you start messing around with it, it is really easy.
Looks like you guys are having so much fun. Glad to see you are spending some time with your parents in Vegas. Also glad you got you mom doing a blog.
